Stevia Leaf Powder | Green, finely ground leaf powder from the Stevia rebaudiana plant | No additives
Unlike artificial sweeteners, Stevia is extracted from the leaves of the Stevia plant. Easily recognisable by its characteristic green colour. The composition of Stevia includes carbohydrates, protein, fibre and minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc and iron. This Stevia variant is the untreated form and has been used as a natural sweetener for centuries.
Using Stevia instead of regular sugar offers numerous benefits for weight loss. Stevia has a calorie content of zero and a glycaemic index of zero.
To produce Stevia powder, the leaves of the Stevia plant are harvested and dried at low temperatures. The leaves are then finely ground to obtain a plant-based raw material.
Finely ground green powder made from the dried leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. The powder contains no additives and is ideal for sweetening muesli, smoothies, dips, sauces and more. The natural sweetness of the Stevia leaves is balanced in flavour and comes from organic cultivation. The product is gluten-free, raw, vegan and free from added sugar, a natural sweetener that is also used in the production of Stevia extracts and liquid extracts.
What can you do with Stevia leaves?
In addition to culinary applications, ground Stevia leaves are also used in cosmetics. They are valued for their positive natural properties in skin creams and dental care products. The low-calorie ingredients of the Stevia rebaudiana plant, also known as the sweet herb or sweet leaf, contain many valuable secondary plant substances.
Cosmetic use
In skin cosmetics, the ground Stevia leaves are used to make creams, while in dental cosmetics they are used in toothpastes and mouthwashes. The natural properties of Stevia powder make it a popular choice for cosmetic products.
Use in tea drinks
The ground Stevia leaves are also used as a natural sweetener and flavour additive in tea drinks and tea blends. With a sweetening power 30 to 40 times stronger than sugar, they are valued in herbal teas, black teas and traditional mate tea. It should be noted that the dried leaves are not soluble in water and should be used in a tea bag or tea strainer together with the tea leaves.
Medicinal plant in Latin America
In Latin America, Stevia leaves are also used as a medicinal plant. The natural product comes from residue-controlled cultivation in Spain or Paraguay, the home country of the Stevia plant. The first selection guarantees a particularly high quality, and the leaves are gently dried without additives.

How can ground Stevia leaves be used?
Ground Stevia leaves are often used as a natural sweetener because they contain compounds that have a sweet taste but do not affect blood sugar levels. Here are some ways that ground Stevia leaves can be used.
Suggested uses:
Sweetening of beverages: Add a very small amount of ground Stevia leaves to tea, coffee, lemonade or other drinks to sweeten them.
Baking: Use ground Stevia leaves as a substitute for sugar in baking recipes. As Stevia is very sweet, you only need a small amount compared to regular sugar. Experiment carefully, however, as too much Stevia can leave a bitter aftertaste.
Smoothies and yoghurt: If you prepare smoothies or yoghurt, you can use ground Stevia leaves to sweeten them without adding extra sugar.
Muesli and oatmeal: Sprinkle a pinch of ground Stevia leaves over your muesli or oatmeal to sweeten it.
Desserts: Use ground Stevia leaves in dessert recipes such as puddings, sorbet or sauces to enhance the sweet taste.
Jams and marmalades: When making homemade jams or marmalades, you can use ground Stevia leaves to sweeten them instead of adding large amounts of sugar.
Preserved fruits: If you are preserving fruit, you can use ground Stevia leaves to add a sweet note to the fruit.
Cereal dishes: Ground Stevia leaves can also replace sugar in dishes such as rice pudding or semolina porridge.
Note that Stevia is very sweet and should therefore only be used in small amounts. It is therefore advisable to follow the dosage recommendations on the packaging exactly or to find out by trial and error how much you need to achieve the desired degree of sweetness. Also note that some people may find the taste of Stevia slightly bitter.
Note that ground Stevia leaves are not water soluble and are lighter than water. Therefore, they float in liquids and should be used in a tea bag or tea strainer together with the tea leaves. Recommended amount: about 3%
Dosage information: 1 gram of Stevia ground leaves (0 calories) is equivalent to 30 grams of sugar (1200 calories).
